For 10 years, I was the head chef and content manager of the website MyFoodMyHealth.
Founded by Caroline Nation, Myfoodmyhealth was a website that focused on the healing power of food. Whether someone was a diabetic cooking for one, or a parent cooking for family members with conditions such as asthma, high blood pressure or celiac disease, the Myfoodmyhealth helped with menu planning and instructing on how to prepare meals that everyone at the table could share and enjoy.
MyFoodMyHealth offered:
- Delicious meal plans tailored to suit many different kinds of health conditions
- Memorable recipes from renowned chefs and nutritionists based on simple, whole, and natural ingredients.
- Educational videos, articles, cooking and nutritional tips.
- Health and nutritional information for specific health conditions.
I developed recipes especially for the site as well as tested, interpreted, and tweaked the recipes of over 30 contributing chefs until they were clear and easy to follow. This task made it clear that cooking and recipe writing are two separate skill sets.
Eventually, I shot videos and wrote recipes for the monthly newsletter. The videos are still present on my Youtube channel.
