“Life Delicious” is a place where I share the little tidbits—often the seemingly unextraordinary ones that make my cooking life—and life in general—easier. This is my platform to highlight the tips, products, books, ideas, musings, tools, instructional bytes, and whatever else seems fitting that delights and encourages me.
After working professionally in the food industry for more than a quarter century, I have a lot of considerations to commit to the printed word. It goes without saying that I’m always discovering new techniques, exciting products, and time-saving hacks to make my cooking life a whole lot easier. And maybe this comes from being a culinary instructor for so long, but I love to share what I’m excited about and what I’m constantly discovering.
When I eat, I want to feel good afterward; but feeling good is, of course, more than just about the food one takes in. Food is often the jumping-off point—it was for me– into a lifestyle that prioritizes wellbeing. I’ve always maintained that, no matter how time-crunched you are and how busy your life is: if there is a will, there is a way to encompass nourishing meals.
And as Virginia Wolff famously said,
In fact, the more complicated your life is, the most important good nourishment is.
What works for me may just work for you,
or my ideas may be the starting point
to send you off in another direction
that serves you well.
